Sand River Getaway Waterfall Hike is once again offering you the opportunity to nature lovers to enjoy this amazing experience!
If you are a capable swimmer and of average fitness, then you will love this kloofing/hiking event. This hike is not for beginners.
Our guide will lead you on a beautiful scenic trail into the Sand River and then approximately 4 kilometres up river, traversing the rocky riverbeds and swimming through several crystal clear rock pools. Some of these pool are so deep, they offer hikers the opportunity to do some cliff jumping!
The hike is approx. 12km in total and will take close to 5 hours to complete.
Sign in takes place at Sand River Getaway Tented Lodge, at 7:30am and the hike starts at 8am.
Hiker must be dressed appropriately for hiking and swimming and must have proper footwear to participate. This means trail takkies, amphibious shoes or good quality takkies with proper grip!
All hikers must be able to swim and tread water for several minutes, and those who cannot will be sent back to the lodge and forfeit their entry fee.
Cost is R100 per hiker, and each hike is limited to 25 participants!

Minimum age of entrants is 10 year old.
