ABOUT

Parenting is hard!

There is no doubt about that. Being a parent means being responsible for a great many things, including the education and wellbeing of other little beings. This, as well as the relentless routine that tends to go  along with being a parent, can leave you feeling anxious or overwhelmed, sometimes with frayed temper and not knowing how to handle tricky situations.

One of the most important parts of parenting is learning how to manage your own emotions, so that you can manage your child’s! Buddha taught that we need a solid basis of inner peace in our own mind to be able to help others with theirs. It is only through meditation that we can cultivate such a basis of inner peace and through this develop the attributes of patience, wisdom and compassion that are essential for good parenting, and for living a happier life in general!

In this course Dr Colinda Linde and Laurie Parr, both long time Buddhist practitioners, parents and professionals in the field of psychology and child-rearing, will teach practical methods on how we can develop inner peace and more, in our parenting lives.
