Experience the joy of Christmas with a new event – The Three Trees Christmas Carols.

Covid-19 has impacted us all this year and means that Claremont Rotaract cannot host our usual Uncle Willy’s Christmas Party. But we will not be defeated at this wonderful time of the year. Join us for the first ever Three Trees Christmas Carols! Meet Father Christmas and take your photos with him (socially-distanced of course!). Then enter the magical carol’s arena where you will be able to lay down your picnic-blanket on your own number picnic site. Enjoy your picnic and be entertained under the stars by a magician, clowns and a new festive story. As we tell you the story of the Three Trees, you will be able to sing along with us to all your favourite carols. Great fun for the whole family! Lots of surprises too including a tasty treat. This is a magical time…join us and come along to make your magical Christmas wish.

Despite several challenges to our “normal” this year, we hope that you will enjoy the show with us. Please note that as usual, we will do a cash or Snapscan charity collection on the night – every bit counts as we strive to serve the community, year after year. With your support, we will be able to support needy organisations throughout Cape Town.

COVID-19 Safety Rules for the Event:

  • This is not an Uncle Willy’s Christmas Party but a new and different event for you to enjoy without the contact.
  • Sites have been demarcated and can accommodate from 3 to 5 people only. Specific numbered sites will be allocated at the time of booking.
  • Please note that this is a socially-distanced event – masks are required when moving around the site. Please observe the social distancing protocols.
  • Hand sanitisers will be available but please bring your own and use regularly.
  • To avoid contamination, we need you to take your waste home with you please. Everything you bring to site, must go home with you please.
  • Though you will not be bringing the “unmentionables” for Father Christmas this year, we still encourage food and toy donations for needy communities. You will need to place these on trailers on arrival.
  • Tea and coffee will be available – please bring your own mugs. This once again helps to minimise contact points.
  • There will be handouts for the children. These will be sanitised beforehand and packed well over a week in advance of the event.

Have a good time!

  • Maximum number of people per site: 5
  • Minimum people per site: 3 unless a site is specifically demarcated for fewer people.
  • Tickets must be presented on arrival on cell phone / mobile device / printed. Tickets will be scanned by the Christmas Aunties on arrival for the whole site.

The entertainment starts from your car this year! As is our agreement with the facility owners, children are not allowed to play on the Marsh Memorial play equipment and jungle gyms.
  • It can get cold in the evenings so please bring jackets and rugs.
  • Please bring along at least one toy/book which can distribute to the under-privileged for Christmas. It is suggested that the children choose something of theirs to give. If you can, please can you also bring a tin of food or non-perishable items which will also be distributed to the needy at Christmas. Your donations are much appreciated.
  • The carols will end at approximately 9pm. Entrance and entry to the party will be managed by the elves – please let them guide you safely from and to your cars. Please do not leave early as this will spoil the atmosphere for other guests.
  • Should the party be cancelled for any reason e.g. due to bad weather, you will be notified via Whatsapp or email – please ensure the correct details are captured at the time of booking. If possible, we will reallocate you to another night. Non-arrivals for an evening cannot be allocated to another night. Thanks for your cooperation.
