The healthcare system in Zimbabwe is under enormous strain and simply unable to meet the needs of the country’s 14.9M residents. Plagued by staff shortages, an ever-worsening economic situation, and lack of basic medicine and equipment, the current system cannot continue. The people of Zimbabwe are suffering and an immediate, innovative solution is required to restore basic medical services.

Enter, the ButjiloBethu, Zimbabwe’s health train. A fully equipped mobile health facility on rails, ButjiloBethu will bring primary health care services to a population currently lacking access and often times unable to afford service available.

During the initial phase of fundraising, we are targeting R2,000,000 to get the project off the ground. The goal is to purchase a ready to go mobile health trailer, the horse that will pull the trailer, as well as initiate the project. To get us started let's see if we can raise the initial R300,000 for a deposit to secure the trailer, which consists of 3 examination rooms, sanitation facilities, water supply, and energy supply. We will be able to quickly mobilise the trailer and deliver primary health services to the people of Zimbabwe. To give click the "DONATE" button and help save lives.
