Shiehaam Fisher - This Is 'Yummy'

The Fixer Group is excited to announce the launch of the enchanting vocalist, Shiehaam Fisher’s very first solo online show, This Is ‘Yummy’, with its inception on Saturday, 14 November 2020 at 8 PM on Quicket.

Shiehaam, known as ‘Yummy’ has come a very long way from wandering in the streets, under bridges and in the parking lots of Cape Town, battling drug addiction and working for small change as a car guard, to now being a longed-for artist on Cape Town’s entertainment scene.

The Bonteheuwel talent made her first professional appearance earlier this year in a show with prominent SA artists, Robin Pieters and Craig Lucas in a show called, Ode to Women.

Her new show, This Is ‘Yummy’, tells the story of the social challenges that she’s been faced with on her journey and where she is headed, through music performances. The name of the show speaks directly to Shiehaam’s reality and has a positive connotation to it, which is relevant to how her life events have unfolded. She is working towards building a wendy house in her grandmother’s backyard for her and her three kids. 

The song selection for This Is ‘Yummy’ was influenced by suggestions from Shiehaam’s Facebook fans. She felt that it was important to get input from those who continue to support her on her journey because they are a big part of her story.

“I’ve chosen a total of 10 songs for my show, together with my Facebook fans, that tells the story of where I come from and where I am going. 

“My dream in terms of my career as a performing artist is to reach for the stars and to let each and everybody know who still have that dream of becoming someone, that it is never too late. I want to work and earn my money” says Shiehaam. 

Fans can expect a spectacular 1-hour stream of entertainment at R65 + R5 service fee to Quicket. The show will run from Saturday 14 November to Saturday 21 November, every evening at 8 PM.
