Cape Town G&S is excited to announce that they will be streaming some of their popular past musicals and operas online in an effort to raise funds for the Society.

The first show to be streamed will be the sold-out, musical extravaganza, It’s Showtime, which was staged in October 2019, directed by Barend van der Westhuizen and choreographed by Jared Schaedler.

It’s Showtime (Again!) brings the very best of musical theatre to life. This captivating production is an emotional journey through the great world of musicals that will leave the audience spell-bound. With beautiful and emotional ballads from Sunset Boulevard, The Secret Garden and Rent along with great up-beat favourites from Les Misérables, Fiddler on the Roof, Sweeney Todd, and Anything Goes, there is something in this show for everyone.

The online streaming of It’s Showtime (Again!) will launch on Friday, 7 August 2020, and will be available for ticket holders to watch for one week. Viewers can look forward to an evening of fun-filled entertainment and musical memories, staged by a dynamic and talented cast.

Theatres may be closed, but you can still get your theatre fix online. Get ready to be enthralled and sing along to all your beloved musicals in an unforgettable evening.
