Lankal moeg vir jou eie geselskap op ’n Saterdag tuis? Hier is die antwoord: ’n virtuele meesterklas in krytverftegnieke saam met Nadine Vosloo van Tjhoko Paint.

Daar is drie klasse, met die eerste een op Saterdag 6 Junie. Daarna volg nog twee op onderskeidelik 20 Junie en 4 Julie.

Hoe werk dit?

Die meesterklas is virtueel, wat beteken jy kan dit bywoon in die gerief van jou huis. Al wat jy nodig het is ’n rekenaar, slimfoon of tablet – en ’n goeie internetverbinding. Verder kan jy terugsit en kyk, en as jy vrae het die kletskassie gebruik op jou rekenaarskerm.

Koop net jou kaartjie, waarna jy kommunikasie van Tuis en 3 ure voor die geleentheid, ’n e-pos van Quicket sal kry wat jou na die aanlyngeleentheid sal neem. Alle klasse is kindervriendelik, laat hulle saamverf as jy ’n tafel het wat groot genoeg is waar almal kan saamsit – en saamkyk.

Wat kos dit?

R65 per klas, wat elk sowat 90 minute sal duur.

Tafeldekor: Ons verf op glas, sinkemmers en erdeware om dekorelemente vir jou Tuis-tafel te skep. Aan die einde van dié episode sal jy ’n perfek gedekte tafel hê vir kuiers saam met jou geliefdes.

Het jy geweet?

Kursusgangers kry spesiale afslag op Tjhoko Paint-produkte in Tjhoko Paint se aanlynwinkel. Die afslagkoepon sal tydens die klas gedeel word.

• plastiekvel om jou tafel mee te bedek
• vullisdrom
• voorskoot of ou T-hemp om jou klere te beskerm
• emmer met water
• beker vol afgekoelde water
• leë roomysbak
• leë blikke (kosblikkies of hondekosblikkies)
• gegalvaniseerde emmer
• leë glasflesse met deksels
• lint of tou om om die fles te draai wanneer jy klaar is
• leë nartjie- of tamatiekis, of ’n skoenboks
• afvalstukke lap (vadoeke kan ook werk) om om die blik te draai
• skoonmaakmiddel-bottels

Tired of your own company at home every Saturday? Here’s the answer: a virtual master class in chalk painting techniques with Nadine Vosloo of Tjhoko Paint.

Three classes will be held, with the first one on Saturday 6 June. This is followed by two more, on 20 June and 4 July respectively.

How will it work?

The master class is virtual, which means you can attend in the comfort of your own home. All you need is a computer, smartphone or tablet – and a good Internet connection. Then sit back and enjoy, and if you have questions to ask, use the chat box on your computer screen.

After buying your ticket, you will receive communication from Tuis|Home & a link from Quicket 3 hours before the event which will give you access to the online platform. All classes are child friendly, so let them join in if you have a table big enough for everyone to sit and watch together.

How much will it cost?

R65 per class; each class lasts about 90 minutes.

Table décor: we paint on glass, zinc buckets and ceramics to create décor elements for your Home table. At the end of this episode, you will have a perfectly set table for when you entertain your loved ones.

What you'll need around the house:

• cover for your table/workspace
• bin
• old t-shirt or apron
• bucket of water 
• jug of boiled water, cooled
• ice cream tub
• empty tins (food/dog food)
• galvanised bucket
• empty glass jars (coffee or Consol jars with lids)
• ribbon or rope to tie around the jar
• naartjie, tomato or shoe box
• fabric offcuts to put around the tin
• detergent bottles

• mutton cloth
• lacquer thinners
• two or more Tjhoko colours of your choice 
• Stencil of Paris paste
• Tjhoko Clear Glaze
• 38mm Utility paint brush
• 50mm scraper
• stencil of your choice (the box will be stencilled)

• transfer of your choice (this will be applied to the galvanised bucket)
• 100-grit sandpaper (optional)
