ABOUT

For 14 years, we have provided accommodation in Simon’s Town to local guests, and guests from all over the world. The Grosvenor team could not be more grateful, not only for the support but for the wonderful connections we have made with you all.  Our success is largely due to your amazing returning support and we thank you so much.

We survived the drought, electricity outages and even the great whites abandoning our shores,  and now we must survive our greatest challenge Covid-19. As of the announcement of social distancing across the globe, the cancellations came pouring in, and due to the lockdown, we remain empty. 

Our focus now is to continue providing employment for our staff, who have all been with us for 9 years and more. Many of you have been welcomed by Jonathan, served the best breakfast by James, had your rooms serviced beautifully by Blessings and Grace and looked after as if you were family by Sue. With no bookings comes no turnover and we will not be able to meet full salary payments for April & May. Our Community has never been more important than at this moment. 

You can support our staff in two ways - donating to their salary fund via the donation button, where every cent goes directly to their wages, or by buying a discounted accommodation voucher to use from the 1st May 2020 – 30th November 2021 (on condition of lockdown lift, T&C's apply).

Come join us in Simon's Town after the lockdown, when we are allowed to reconnect, hug, share a meal together and snuggle up close in front of the fireplace (yes we have two!). Book the self-catering house for a group weekend away to reconnect with friends we have missed so much (it sleeps 8). Book a sneaky getaway with your loved one and enjoy our famous breakfast on the balcony overlooking the naval base harbour!

Many of you had to cancel your much anticipated overseas trips this coming June/July. Support local and come and be a tourist in your own country. The penguins are waiting!
