ABOUT

The African Agribusiness Incubation Conference and Expo (AAICE) which is an annual event organised by African Agribusiness Incubators Network (AAIN), supported by various sponsors, partners and African Governments. AAIN works with 210 universities in Africa.


AAIN is registered in Ghana as an international company limited by guarantee in 2015 with the core business of supporting the establishment and growth of African agribusiness incubators.


AAIN is an accredited ambassador of UBI Global and sits on the Global Advisory Research Body accrediting incubators globally. AAIN is a technical partner of the African Union Commission’s Department for Rural Economy and Agriculture (AU DREA) on issues concerning agribusiness incubation.


AAIN’s Value Proposition is to provide a holistic service to African agribusiness incubators, which is delivered by a set of five integrated value-adding services: Incubation Systems and Skills Development, Technology commercialization and market development, Business development and mentorship, and Agribusiness Incubator accreditation and due diligence.


The Kampala AAICE builds on the previously held conferences since 2013;

The conference includes:


1. A two-day boot camp (24th – 25thMarch) where pre-selected agripreneurs receive training in business modelling, strategic branding, marketing and business financing from coaches and mentors. The agripreneurs finally pitch their ideas to a panel of judges and impact investors.


2. The event also includes a 2 -day Conference (26th – 27th June) which provides a platform for the youth agripreneurs and key stakeholders to discuss issues pertaining to intra African trade, Agriculture Investment and Innovative.


3. The event will also include a number of Business-to-Business sessions and provide an avenue for agripreneurs to showcase products and services of their business to the world.
